R&D partnerships

The East Midlands has a wealth of research expertise which the Investor Development team can help you access, creating opportunities for collaboration and product innovation.

The region is home to over 550 active research groups in 50 subjects, based at numerous higher education institutions and private sector organisations. We can identify potential research partners for your business and help you forge productive ongoing relationships.

We can also help you to access funding, guiding you through the application process for research and development tax credits and support programmes. These include EU Framework 7 and the Collaborative Research and Development Scheme.

Our Innovation Networks, or iNets, are also designed to give you targeted support by bringing together businesses, universities, the public sector and individuals who share an interest in a particular market sector or its underpinning technologies.
